New media have indeed changed our lives for the better. It brought about improvements in our lives in the sense that it has “shrunk” our world, bringing us closer to the rest of the world. Through new media, we are able to have access to information about the rest of the world very easily. All we have to do is to go on the internet and we will be able to get the information that we want. This has brought about the increase knowledge in foreign culture which is good for us to be able to know what is happening around in the world instead of confining ourselves to only our country. We are able to get information through the new media about any disasters or dangers coming our way. It serves as a faster way of communication to allow faster transfer of information from one source to another as well as from one place to another. With the increase in rate of communication brought about by new media, our lives are improved as we will be able to spend less time to get our information transferred and it is definitely helpful especially in a new globalizing world whereby the lives of people are rather fast-paced. E-mails, msn messenger these are examples of new media’s communication tools. It allows people from different parts of the world to communicate with each other efficiently and effectively. Hence, with the new media allow better excess of information from other countries and faster rate of communication, it has brought about better changes in our lives.
