I feel that new media has changed our lives for the better. With advanced technology in the modern world, it has given birth to new media such as the internet. New media has allowed us to be more well-informed of occurrences in our world. With the internet, one can instantaneously connect with the world with only a few clicks on the mouse. Also, we can browse for information on the internet, allowing us to do research conveniently. Before the birth of new media, people get news from newspapers, radios etc. However, with the invention of the television and the internet, one can efficiently obtain the same information without much effort. For example, there is the Straits Times Online on the internet to allow people stay informed even without reading the newspapers. For example, communication between people all over the world has been increased with the rise of new media. We have been able to speed up our pace of life ever since new media is discovered. Hence, new media has effectively allowed us to obtain information more efficiently and so I feel that new media has indeed changed our lives for the better.
