Ng Zeng Woon/ Has the new media changed our lives for the better?
New media has changed our lives for the better as it can be seen as an educational tool with benefits. Society has progressed a lot, and so do advances in technology. Given the apparent high state of technology that we can’t live without today, it is not hard at all for anyone to employ new media as means for their education. Information is available at their fingertips and with such apparent ease, which makes teaching much easier as well. For instance, schools nowadays are tapping into new media, using it as a way to teach their students better. Given the technological adeptness of students today, it will not be difficult for them to easily retrieve information from new media in which they can use for their assignments and projects. Also it paves the way for more interactive teaching, moving away from the more conventional “textbook” approach to education. By improving the way in which we are educated today, it is not hard to argue that new media has indeed changed our lives for the better.
