Pamela/Have the new media changed our lives for the better?

I would believe that the new media has changed our lives for the better. The media has allowed us to know more about foreign cultures by overcoming the physical barriers. It has helped the world be more connected through globalization. Through the internet or television we are able to see how someone living on the other side of the planet lives like. With access to such information we are better able to understand their way of life, their social ethics, and their beliefs and many other things. Through these improved means we are able to see the world from the comfort of our homes. Through, we can visit the world with our eyes. One other way in which the new media has brought great assistance is by spreading the knowledge of foreign cultures, it will ease culture shock and at the same time prevent misunderstandings due to ignorance of foreign culture, making vacations more enjoyable. Some good examples in which the new media has helped closed the country gaps would be the introduction of then television channels national geographic and national history. These channels provide interesting information about foreign cultures. There is much to learn and much to appreciate. Thus I feel that by allowing us to see the world easily, we now have greater knowledge, changing our lives for the better.
